Squeeze Stronger Review and Giveaway

*THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*

Squeeze Stronger Tracy Effinger

What would a great workout DVD be without a sequel?  Enter Squeeze Stronger.  Unlike movie sequels, where the second installment never quite lives up to the first, Tracy Effinger managed to defy the odds.  Squeeze Stronger builds upon the techniques introduced in the original Squeeze workout and takes them up a notch.

Squeeze Stronger Review

At just under an hour and twenty minutes, Squeeze Stronger is a full-body workout that delivers intensity.  This workout combines traditional strength training exercises with techniques from other disciplines, including yoga and Pilates, to give you a unique exercise experience.  In addition to the full workout, the DVD contains two premixes Upper Body & Waist Squeeze at 40 minutes and Lower Body & Abs Squeeze at 43 minutes.  Also available on the DVD is a Mix and Match menu which allows you to select exercises to create your own unique workout.

Equipment needed for the workout include a play ground ball, a chair for balance, the Squeeze stick (a broomstick will do), and a light and heavy set of weights.

The workout begins with a warm-up of three sets of deadlifts alternated with knee-ups.  From here Tracy moves into the arm work – biceps, shoulders and triceps.  Next comes the standing core work followed by a set of push-ups, triceps pushups and one-arm triceps pushups.  The leg work in this workout consists again of barre work with v-plie exercises and sissy squats using the chair for balance.  The workout culminates with floorwork, abdominals and a stretch.

I preferred this workout slightly over the original Squeeze workout as it included more traditional strength training.  I thoroughly enjoyed the arm series in this workout which included three rounds of triple sets for biceps and shoulders.  Five pounds is more than enough to feel the burn on the series – I had to drop down to threes on the last round of shoulder exercises.  I loved this workout and plan to alternate with the original Squeeze workout.

My favorite exercise is swimming; I love how it works everything out at one time. It gives you clarity when you swim, because it is so peaceful and quiet while you do your laps. The only thing you hear is yourself thinking, so if that is something you need I totally recommend swimming as your exercise.
