Workout Details and Review
The holiday season is upon us. Many of us are hitting shopping centers, malls, gift shops and online stores in search of deals, bargains, the best prices and the perfect gifts for the upcoming holiday; present party included. So, when ExerciseTV posted on their Facebook wall yesterday that they and Crunch were offering a special gift for the holiday season – a free download of one of the new Crunch workouts available on ExerciseTV – I plyo-jumped (pun intended – keep reading) all over it!
Crunch and ExerciseTV teamed up to bring the hottest gym workouts to the comfort of our homes. With nine workouts in all, from Eroticise to Dance and Action Sports, there are quite a few workouts to choose from. I decided I was interested in trying one of the Action Sports workouts: Chisel, Diesel or Ass and Abs. After, quite a bit of contemplation, I decided to download the Diesel workout.
Diesel is a twenty-three minute workout led by Michelle Opperman. The workout is a cardio and strength interval workout that, in just over twenty minutes, packs quite a punch in the time allotted. The workout begins with a dynamic warm-up and then Michelle takes you through the first of many circuits that begins with a strength training segment followed by a cardio interval burst. Each of the strength segments includes multi-joint combination exercises to maximize muscle recruitment and increase caloric burn. The cardio intervals consist of three separate calorie torching exercises about thirty seconds each. Some of the strength moves you’ll see in this workout include reverse lunges with biceps curls, push-ups, deadlifts with upright rows, squats with overhead presses and side lunges with upright rows. Michelle uses high intensity aerobic exercises for the cardio intervals including burpees, mountain climbers, jump squats, tires, plyo jacks, 180 degree jump turns, speed skaters and, you guessed it, plyo jumps. Diesel is a great, short, efficient strength and cardio circuit workout. Michelle is a great lead, cues well and shows great form. I am looking forward to trying her other workouts in the Action Sports series.
Head on over to ExerciseTV on Facebook to receive the discount code for a free Crunch workout download. Be sure to stick around for future giveaways, motivation, daily challenges, fitness tips, nutrition advice and much, much more.
P.S. I also tacked on an abdominal routine with weights as part of the ExerciseTV Breakfast Club challenge – another great way to earn free downloads of ExerciseTV workouts.
Disclosure: I received a free download code for a Crunch workout on ExerciseTV’s Facebook page. I was under no obligation to review it. Nor was I under obligation to provide a positive review.

I just looked at the clip for these workouts, they look really good! We have Crunch gyms over here but only two of them so far. I think I’d like the Action Sports workouts and the Dance workouts even though I’m not a great dancer but the moves look kind of zumba style. I tried a zumba class on holiday and loved it. They offered the class in my gym and I signed up for it but they cancelled it because the instructor got ill and hasn’t been back to the gym.

Hi Susan,
Glad to hear you like the looks of the Crunch workouts. Be sure to stop by ExerciseTV’s Facebook page for the download code for the free workout! I automatically gravitated towards the Action Sports series but I will have to go back and look at the dance workouts. They sound like fun. I haven’t taken a Zumba class yet. It is on my ever-growing To-Do-List!

Thought I had already “liked” their page! Ooops! Thanks for the heads up! I ended up getting Ass and Abs! The 2 areas I need it the most! They all looked good, but you gotta start somewhere!

Hi Alli,
Now that’s two votes for the dance workouts. I will have to seriously go back and check them out. I am always looking for more ways to make exercise FUN!
