Get Extremely Ripped Boot Camp Details and Review

Get Extremely Ripped Boot Camp is the latest workout released in Jari Love’s popular Get Ripped! series. Based upon her extremely successful gym boot camp class, Jari Love brings the workout to DVD. The workout alternates between strength, core and cardio intervals. This format is designed to burn calories, melt fat and assist in getting past weight loss plateaus. Jari Love is joined by several background exercisers, many of them from her past workouts. A beginner modifier is not present in the workout however a modifier does show more advanced options. A background exerciser also uses a stationary bike for the cardio portions of the workout.  Though this workout is best suited for intermediate to advanced exercisers, beginners can modify by keeping the moves low impact and selecting lighter weights.

Get Extremely Ripped Boot Camp is broken down into six 10-minute segments, two 30-minute workouts or one full hour boot camp workout. Jari Love has also provided multiple ways to enjoy this workout. From the main menu, you have the option to select one of the thirty minute workouts, the complete workout, or the workout segments sub-menu. Here you will find the six individual ten-minute workouts as well as three pre-mixed options: cardio only, weights only or abs only. Equipment needed for the workout includes an exercise mat and a set of dumbbells. Weight increments used by the participants are also displayed to assist with weight selection. A countdown timer is included at the end of each segment that counts down the remaining thirty seconds. The workout also includes on-screen technique tips.

Get Extremely Ripped Boot Camp uses interval training to efficiently burn calories, raise metabolism, sculpt muscles and melt fat. Divided into six segments, each of the ten-minute intervals begins with an abdominal toning routine, using planks, reverse curls, pikes, crabs and knee isometric holds to activate the core. This is followed up with compound weight training exercises that engage the upper and lower body simultaneously. Combining lunges, squats, and deadlifts with biceps curls, shoulder presses and rows, the entire body is challenged as the heart rate is elevated. Finally, each interval ends with a high-intensity, moderate to high impact aerobic segment. The heart rate continues to increase with traditional athletic exercises such as jumping jacks with tuck jumps, jump squats and speed skaters. The workout concludes with a cool-down and stretch.
