Jane Fonda’s Workout – Ultra Boot Camp with Jeanette Jenkins

Jane Fonda’s Workout Brand – Ultra Boot Camp Workout Details and Review

In December of 2010, in conjunction with GoFit, Jane Fonda released her WORKOUT brand which includes a series of original workout DVDs led by today’s top fitness trainers. The series includes yoga, sculpting, cardio and boot camp workouts. Hand-picked by Jane Fonda, Jeanette Jenkins leads the Ultra Boot Camp workout.

Jane Fonda’s WORKOUT Ultra Boot Camp is a sixty minute boot camp workout designed to scorch calories, burn fat and sculpt and tone the entire body. The workout features Jeanette Jenkins; no other background exercisers are present in the workout. Equipment needed for the workout includes a set of dumbbells. From the main menu you only have the option to play the workout, however the workout is nicely chaptered so you can skip through the various chapters.

Jane Fonda’s WORKOUT Ultra Boot Camp begins with a basic warm up and is followed by dynamic flexibility as well as some static stretches. From there, Jeanette leads you through a two-part high energy cardio and super sculpting workout. The first half of the workout consists of a series of heart pumping, sports inspired drills. Jeanette begins getting the heart rate up with kickboxing drills using punching and kicking combinations. Next, is a series of sports based drills. It’s time for some football and basketball drills to keep those calories burning. After, Jeanette goes back to some kickboxing combos before transitioning to the sculpting portion of the workout. Jeanette grabs a light set of dumbbells for this low weight, high repetition workout. Using exercises that target the upper and lower body simultaneously, as well as engaging the core, the sculpting workout picks up where the cardio left off. This ultra-efficient toning workout continues to keep the heart rate up and burn calories, all while sculpting lean muscle.

Jane Fonda’s WORKOUT Ultra Boot Camp is a non-stop boot camp workout designed to burn calories and sculpt muscle. The workout is adaptable to all fitness levels by increasing or decreasing the intensity of the cardio exercises or modifying the weight selection.  Jeanette Jenkins does an excellent job setting up the exercises, delivering cues throughout the workout and offering motivation. She is extremely encouraging in this workout and reminds us that we are stronger than we think while reminding the exerciser to work at his/her own pace and to build up to the entire workout.
